avi flies won't run in powerpoint

I get the following error message when trying to run avi files in powerpoint.
" Video not availble vids:mjpg decompressor not found" Any ideas on how to fix this problem. I am running Windows 98 and Microsoft Offce 2000. Any ideas you could e-mail to me would be most appreciated...thanks a bunch
