Preparing to flash with GaryOPA 1.2. PLease help

i was hoping for some help, both my hard drives are in a SATA RAID 0 configuration via a Silicon Image Sil3112 chipset on my motherboard. I want to flash my Hitachi, with the aid of the xecuter connectivity kit to get into modeB, most tutorials say disable SATA but if i disable my SATA RAID i lose function of my drives and my Windows XP OS. I've heard u can get around this by booting into safe mode, but If i boot into safe mode, wont my drives will still be in SATA RAID 0, which could cause me to have flashing problems? so what alternative are there for me and others like me with SATA RAID 0 hard drive configurations? has anyone here with a SATA RAID 0 configuration used the autoflasher successfully? any suggestions?

also i'm going to use the atuoflasher which i heard ppl have problems with sometimes so i was trying to figure out how to manually make a backup of my firmware and extract my hitachi dvd key before i use the autoflasher?

GaryOPA 1.2 is an auto flasher, but you want to use it. You don't want to use an auto-flasher for the Samsung. As far as having a SATA hard drive, I don't know about safe mode being effective for avoiding detection problems, but I've heard of people buying old small IDE hard drives and putting Windows on them just for 360 flashing.

i definately plan on using the GaryOPA autoflasher, but i've heard ppl have problems where the autoflasher didn't make a proper backup of the original firmware or extract the drive key properly, so as a backup prior to using the autoflasher i want to extract my own original firmware and my drive key, any way i can do that?

I don't know of another way to get the Hitachi key, but that doesn't mean there's not a way. I used this method and it worked for me. So I just left it at that. I even restored and reflashed. Just remember it's best to do it in safe mode.
