Let me start by saying that I'm fairly new to all this
Burning Software business and that I think I made a terrible
mistake last night.

I put a lot of family jpgs taken recently with the digital camera
into a folder and then using Nero 7 created what it turned out to be
a slideshow but in video format. When I was doing it I thought I was
burning the images onto a DVD as data not as a video.

Is there any way I can extract the images from this Video? Stupid
that I am I deleted the original folder with the jpgs and unless
I find a way of retrieving these pics the Mrs is going to kill me.

Hello.

Get some software and try undeleting the folder. Norton Utilties, PC Tools, there are several programs out there. There may be some free trials available online but I don't know how good they are. I've been using Norton Utilties for more than a decade so I've stuck with it. Don't work on your computer until then. Did you delete the pictures from the camera media storage as well?

I'm not sure how Nero Slideshow works. It may just string the pictures together. I'm also not sure what it does to the resolution. You can always capture the picture but whether it would be of reduced quality or not, I don't know.

did you EXPLORE your disk..... Nero does not make a video out of your pictures..... all the JPEGs are there safe and sound in folders...... not to worry! Just pop that sucker in the drive and copy and paiste those JPGs back into the folders! It's there. You just have to look for them.

Laddyboy is correct.... you can use Norton's Utilities for undeleting your files or you can use UNDELETE, and there are others:
