i downloaded US version of Tekken 5 for PS2 and got quite far on it, then when I bought the european PAL release I couldn't load my US save game and had to start over. But on memory card there are 2 files both saying Tekken 5 so it didn't overwrite the US one. Think they have a line of code telling it the SLUS or SLES code of the game if you open your PSP/SAVEDATA folder on your psp's memstick most of the directories in there will be labelled up by the UCES, ULUS or ULES code. You maybe able to rename the directory to give the eu equivalent code to trick it into loading it but you may need to hex edit the save file as well

sorry for the long winded reply

if you open the folder and check the icon0.png file to make sure its the correct game, it shouldnt be too difficult to find the alternate label code
