hi i am hoping someone can help me with encoding a AVI file . Now heres the details......

winxp pro +sp2
1.2ghz cpu
1 gig ddr

i started encoding an AVI video file about 700mb with TMPGEnc express 3 using system audio+video.

when the output was complete i checked it out and there was no sound at all but video quality was perfect .

i am assuming its to do with the audio source and i may have to decompress the original audio source for use in TMPGEnc. what software do i need to do this and if i do need to do this will the audio be in sync with the video?
please could someone help me i am very gratefull in advance ...tom
