I have a game on my Mac but I do not have the CD, is there anyway I can play the game without the CD because everytime I double click on the game icon it asks me for the CD.

The game is Age Of Empires II Gold.

Thanks.

If you downloaded the game, then you will need to actually buy the cd. If the game is so good, just buy it. Imagine if everbody did this, the developers will not put out any other software or games.

Well no, I did actually have the CD but I cant find it anymore because I haven't played it for quite a long time. I dont want to buy another CD because Mac games are over priced.

So there is no way I can play this game unless I buy another CD?

I don't know what it is like in other countries, but in Australia mac games are ALWAYS more expensive than their PC counterparts if they are ports. (I think this is because when the mac version is released, it is released at full price and the PC version has already been around for a while so is cheaper.)

Oh, and I'm pretty sure AoE II has been cracked for the mac. But from what I've heard, it doesn't run very well.

Feeling stupid? I know I am!

Yeah, it's annoying the price diff in australia- that's why I was pretty excited when boot camp was released. Even though I'm not much of a gamer, it's still annoying to go into a shop and see a AU$20 premium on mac games.

Feeling stupid? I know I am!
