hello!
i'm new here and want some help.. can anybody tell me that where can i find free driver for my dvd writer that is PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-K16RA. please if somebosy knows then reply soon.

Hello.

It should use the WinXP drivers. Is the OS refusing to install the device?

actually when i got my laptop it was already installed but now due to some reason i've reinstalled my windows xp and now when i insert a movie disk in my dvd rom and wants to play it with real player its gives a message like "RealOne Player is not able to find the software that came with your DVD drive. In order for RealOne Player to play DVDs or VOB files, you must first install the software that came with your drive. If you have already installed this software, it may be experiencing problems and you may need to reinstall it." and when i try it with windows media player it says "Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer." now i don't know what is the problem i thought may be driver is not properly installed thats why i posted here to find its driver that couldn't get from any website.

The DVD drive uses the standard WinXP device driver. Download the following codec package and install it. Real Player can be a spamware bomb so unless you have a compelling need for it, delete it.

thanks alot.. the problem just got fixed i deleted real player and installed winDVD7 and now its works
