I can't seem to get the top grill off the 360 to start the process of opening it up . I can get the bottom piece off but the top piece I cant seem to locate the notch closet's to the front of the 360. I'm using a metal cloth hanger to push the tabs in . Can anyone help me please ?

you need take off the front face plate then the two side grey grills. The one on the left is harder to take off than the one on the right since the tabs are hidden abit more, you will have to apply a little more force to the one on the left grey grill.

OK have the Xbox 360 apart . Hook up the DVD ROM to my PC's SATA connection , but I don't know if my SATA chipset is good .. I get

Hardware Initate failed, Please Check Device ..The BIOS Does not be installed Press<g> to Continue

Is My VIA chipset not the right one to reconize the DVD ROM of the 360? After I get the error above, It lets me boot to floppy and I can run the mtkflash gives me 2 choices , Primary Master (1) secondary Master(2) , I hit(2)then It just seems to hang :/.. P.S. I let It run for like 5 mins but it never gives me a command to poweroff or something
....OMG Is It mtkflash r/m or w/m command? Everytime I read someone says Its r/m ,then someone say its w/m lol

Thanks to anyone that can help me out.

dont know if this will help ya much but I have a VIA SATA controller on mine and to get it to work I used my SATA Hard driver hooked up to SATA2 and 360 Samsung drive on 1 and left the xbox 360 off while the PC loaded into Dos from my USB Pen drive (otherwise it would lock up during detection of the SATA devices in the BIOS and would say there was an error and the SATA BIOS couldnt be loaded) and then when at dos prompt I unpluged the power to my SATA Hard Drive and powered on my 360. then when I loaded the flash utility to backup my drive and reflash it it worked fine.

Also did this same process for loading into windows with the drive for backups. I left 360 powered off till it got past loading the SATA Bios then powered it on just before loading windows and it was all set. dont know why the bios doesnt want to see it but this is how I got mine to get past that point.

Let me know if this works for ya...

OK She Is flashed!! , I don't have a Back -Up to try as of now but after I flashed with the modified.bin , I put in a original 360 game and It worked, so I guess I'm In good shape :)
