Is it possible to run the UMD from the devhook emulated 2.71 XMB? I tried a couple things like [home] + [R] until it says like UMD DISC or something but that didn't work. I really don't feel like rebooting my PSP just to play Ridge Racers (it doesn't take that long to load so i didn't rip it from its UMD) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Yes, you can play a UMD from 2.60/2.71 emulation. You should rip ridge racers as there is a way to get it down to around 156MB w/ a rip kit; it's great!
To make sure your settings are correct tho, there's this folder verification thing that Booster manipulated. It was originally by $ony and Booster copied the page and incorporated his own code. It's for the n00bs to make sure they've got the folders installed correctly amongst other things. I've actually linked to it thru my site.
You go to my site, and look for PSP Tester. You must have your PSP plugged in and it will check your PSP and let you know if you need to change anything. Check it out!
i used to choose everytime i loaded devhook, but i realized that i could just have a semi-permanent 2.71 PSP if i do it the way i don't know. And guano, you may have misunderstood me or i may have misunderstood you. Devhook is already loaded and i'm on the 2.71 firmware menu. I just want to run my UMD from there without having to restart Devhook or go back down to 1.5.
it was kinda funny, it took me a second, but i got it. Anyway, no i didn't figure out, but i just figured it'd be better anyway if i just rebooted my PSP and went back to the 1.5. Thanks for the laugh tho.
