I have two video files, encoded separately, and want to join (combine) them in one DVD (original file is 700mb, XviD, 50 min each...so I think they will be fit in one dvd). I want to use dvd-lab pro for authoring. Please let me know how to add two video/audio files (m2v/mpv, AC3/MP2) into the program. They are two conseutive episodes (#1 and #2). I want to combine them with no break/pause in between.

I don't understand why they are in different file formats, but perhaps you should try having both video as m2v and both audio as mp2. You can then have TMPGEnc join both video and audio to make a nonstop movie sorta like with those two episodes. But none the less both video has to match up in all aspec as well as both audio. Make audio mp2 48000kz, and both video has to have a matching fps, aspec ratio and all so that it will do a proper join.

Hi kthan !
I converted two separate DivX files with "DivxToDVD",from VSO Software, and then burned them using Clone DVD - (VIDEO_TS).
I loaded them in reverse order in "DivxToDvd" so they turned out in the right order to burn, but you should check that out for yourself.
Another program you can try, which I personaly like , cos it`s a kind of "one-click" software and easy to use, is "ConvertXtoDvd" also from VSO.
You can find links to these, and lots more quality software on this forum.
An alternative is Nero.
a) First convert your files with whatever program you prefer to DVD
(AUDIO_TS / VIDEO_TS)
b) Open Nero, select disc type "DVD" & choose the option:
"Copy Multiple DVD-Video Movies to one"
c) Choose "Import Titles" and find your DVD folder. Click it open and you should see title 1, title 2 and so on. At the end you`ll see a list which you can either edit or burn.
Hope this helps.
If you get stuck, get back.

If you're using Pro, the two Movies don't have to match..as long as you understand how to setup VMG menu, multi-video_TS. Just create two Movie components and link the second behind the first...that way you could have a menu at the beginning allowing you to "jump" to second movie episode and even a chapters menu for both.

Of course you need to encode them both to NTSC or PAL MPEG-2 before import.
