Hi, recently I downloaded a PAL version of The Sims 2, and patched it using ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix, with 32 of yfix, burned it later with Nero burnig rom, but when playing it on my ps2 when i selected the yfix version, it just would show the principal screen, and the game would not react. The funny thing is that the no yfix version works fine, but the screen is too large for my tv so the game looks cut out, and I can't play it that way. Later I burned it again but this time with 48 of yfix, and still the same thing happened. What can i do??
No, it didn't say any of that, and yes I do have magic swap. What I mean by that is that in PAL versions the screen is larger, and when I tried to fix it with ps2_pal2ntsc_yfix, the yfix didn't work, and when choosing only the NTSC option, the screen is uncentered so you can't see it properly..
The sims 2 is a DVD rom
Weasrock may be right. Some games aren't compatible with either patcher, when it freezes, that's a dead giveaway it's incompatible. You could try lowering the offset, to say 24. There's no guarantee it'll work. I wouldn't waste a bunch of discs on it. Either make a 1:1 copy of the NTSC version or download one.
