if you have a hard drive, you can play all of your old xbox THAT ARE ON the backwards compatibiblity list, the list updates via live, but dosent update very much soo, you probobly arent missing much.

@coolGray

Hey,how to know if the emulator to play xbox games is already in my 360 hard drive?Does every 360 which comes with the 20GB hard drive already have the emulator inside?Because i don't have any xbox game to try and if it's already installed(preinstalled)then i can get myself some old games that i've missed on xbox.

@warlord

apprently you do need the update for that one because that was an update to the list

@TY4ever
If you have live and a Hard Drive then you can play any game listed on the list.

Forgive my lack of knowledge,but what do you mean by "if you have live..",does it mean if i have the live dashboard,something like that or i should get on live first.

Vincent.

P.S
on the 360 box it's written XBOX LIVE

@TY

I mean, if your 360 has an internet connection then will recieve updates to the backwards compatibiblty list that is alrady on your HDD. I was talking about Xbox Live) As soon as you sign in to Xbox Live (if you dont have the updates)it will automattically ask you to download them.

No problem man...glad to help

@Warlod

I dont see anything on the internet about using a flash drive but this dosent mean that it isnt possible. You might call M$ tech support at 1-800-4MY-XBOX and have a chat w/ them on the subject. That being said, if you are able to burn DVD's i am 85% sure you can burn updates to a dvd and update that way. I seem to remember Major Nelson talking about it in a pod cast a while back. So, thats what ive got.
Feel free to ask if you need more assistance.
