Sorry about this folks,
I have been usin Nero 6 for YEARS with no trouble - all of a sudden no joy - getting the above message.
The only change I have made in this area is installing XviD codecs - would this have stuffed things up? I have re-installed Nero - this didn't help. I can usually sort this kind of thing but I am at a loss.
Hope you can help - I've reen at this for HOURS :)

Thank Gwen - great load of info.
Still not working though - I don't think it's the media - I've used stakcs of these, and I've tried burning to a image then burning the image to disc and that worked.
It won't even simulate - same error occurs.

This log looks clean, only thing I can see is the media. Although you have used this type of media before doesnt mean it will always work, the lower quality media vary from batch to batch and in some cases have different makers. Some vary disc to disc, it's the inconsistency in production, so all thats left is to try a good quality media as suggested.

Thanks again Gwen, vm appreciated.
I can still use the same media for image burns, and Roxio / Nero have been on my HD "living together in perfect harmony side by side by my keyboard" (Sorry I got a bit McCartney/Jackson there) ever since I bought my PC back in '04 after the big shift south from Wales to NZ.
A mistery indeed. I will purchase some classy media and report back.
