I can't seem to get the matrix recoded properly to h264 format. I used dvd fab decrypter, then used DVD Shrink to 86 subtitles and unwanted audio streams. The output VOB plays fine, but when I use videora to convert it to mp4, the audio and video streams are out of sync. I have tried changeing the video framerate, but no success. I also have Nero recode, and xilisoft, but have always prefered videora.

If you have to dvd itself I would give CloneDVD Mobile from slysoft.com a shot. While your there I would also download AnyDVD. Start AnyDVD insert your DVD, start CloneDVD mobile. it will take you through the process. When your done you should have a fairly decent movie file for your iPod. I tried it a couple versions ago and loved it. The audio and video was out of sync slightly but not enough that it was easily noticable and this issue could have been easily ironed out with all the updates that have come out since.

First: Thanks for the input. I'm always looking for new programs.
I haven't had a problem with any movie but The Matrix. Apparently, Videora specificaly has a problem with this movie. What I eventually did was decrypt with DVD Decrypter, breaking the movie down into nine pieces. Then I used DGIndex to strip the audio from each piece. I used Besweet to convert the audio to wave. I wrote avs script for avisynth to reincorporate the video with audio. Then recoded each piece and corresponding avs script with videora. Finally, I cut and pasted my 9 mp4 files into one with Quicktime. It was a long and grueling process I don't intend to repeat.
