HP memories install prompt when i plug in my sony digital camera

I have a sony cyber shot mondel no dsc-p73 and a dell laptop which i've been using together since december 2004 without a problem, now all of a sudden I'm getting a prompt to install a hp memories disc every time i plug in the camera, i don't have one and dont recall ever having one. If i keep hitting cancel when the prompt comes up eventually it goes away and i can carry on transferring photos like i used to. Anyone know how to get rid of this prompt? How about a full uninstall/reinstall of the sony software? Thanks for any advice

it is possible that your camera is made by HP with a sony label on it
