OK wassup Afterdawn,
My Lite-On has been working perfectly since I bought my PC. Till' I started running into small but annoying problems.
Ok usually when I would burn a Audio CD it will take 3-5 minutes too burn at 48X.
Then one time I tried to burn one and was taking over 20 mins. at 48X. Then this problem kept happening every so often.

Yesterday my CD tray starting open real slowly and would open all the way. Then after it ejects it keeps ejecting over and over for about a minute or 2.

I just updated my firmware from: http://codeguys.rpc1.org/firmwares.html#cat_dvdrw
* I d-loaded the ? BS0Y - patched - crossflashing, multi-colored LED (for 1213S, 1613S, etc.) & I originally had the BGS4 *

After I updated the firmware, the tray opened like it should but the tray still ejected over and over again.
