Hi! Has anyone ever gotten actual 360 degrees auto-aim on a weapon? The 360 degrees auto-aim that actually is completely around? If not, have you ever seen a mod with it? I've seen lots of people having trouble with this, and I'm one of them. Your not alone! ;) I've tried both ways of doing this... The "n00b" way and the "1337" way.

n00b way:

1. Open DotHalo and map you wish to have 360 degrees auto-aim on.
2. Expand the "[weap] Weapon" tag.
3. Goto the weapon you wish to have 360 degrees auto-aim on.
4. Change "Deviation Angle 1 CF" to "6.28318530717959" (360 degrees in radians) without the quotes.
5. Save changes.
6. Resign map.
7. Close DotHalo.

1337 way:

1. Open DotHalo and map you wish to have 360 degrees auto-aim on.
2. Expand the "[weap] Weapon" tag.
3. Goto the weapon you wish to have 360 degrees auto-aim on.
4. Click "Extract Meta".
5. Close DotHalo.
6. Open the meta in Hex Workshop.
7. Goto "Edit -> Goto...".
8. Type in "0x208" (offset of auto-aim) without the quotes.
9. Click "Go".
10. Change the hex to "DB0FC940" (360 degrees in radians in 32 Bit Float).
11. Save changes.
12. Open DotHalo and map you wish to have 360 degrees auto-aim on.
13. Expand the "[weap] Weapon" tag.
14. Goto the weapon you wish to have 360 degrees auto-aim on.
15. Click "Inject Meta".
16. Save changes.
17. Resign map.
18. Close DotHalo.

i would try to put in 1080 as the auto aim maybe that might help because ive heard that some were but i dont remeber were

there is an 1080 auto-aim which also shoots through walls.....its on here somewhere.

uhh i saw a PPF patch some were and i know this guy from XBL that i talk to on AIM hes a pretty good modder maybe he will know (he doesnt use PPF's)

maybe monday or something because i have 2 parties to go to ( xgames , and a going away party) and the xgames is like god to me and my friends as we are very sport oriented

I doubt it is at HaloMods... They don't support auto-aim.

you know you guys can just download a autoaim program from tmumods.com and then select the weapon and put in the degrees u want for up and down auto-aim!

oh cool when i pick up my AR ( will be forever) ill look into it more.....i used to softmod with my friends AR but i had to give it back but maybe ill borrow it this school year and keep it for a while

You don't need to buy AR. I downloaded the AR software and used a USB stick and a cable that goes from xbox controller (male) to USB (female). Same concept but can be cheaper if you already have a jump drive or USB stick. You can get the cable cheap on ebay...

oh that sounds cool ....well i might just wait about 2-3 weeks to just borrow my friends and never give it back....he i know your saying your not a good friend but he doesnt care and ive asked him so yeah and i also beat him up too haha


EDIT: i already have the AR software off the disk that comes with it so i wont need that part...and maybe you can make a tut on how to do it...unless theres one out there i havent seen

There's one out there. You need to hack AR using USB view, but it's really easy.
