hoping someone can help me, i was in the middle of burning AVI file to a disc through Nero vision express and my computer turned off for some reason then when i went back on and tryed to move file into ADD FILE a protection error came up and said error:45. does anyone know what this is and how i can fix the problem. thanks
ok i tryed again and was finally able to add the files to burn but then when it got to about 5mins to go my computer turned off again, i will try one more time but each time it happens i have noticed that my c drive is fulling up and i can not work out why.
had a look to see if there is a log but there is not one as the burn does not finish, i just tryed to burn again and my c drive had 12.9GB space before i tryed to burn, and then computer again turned off before it finished, now the c drive only has 9.63GB space left.
as it is only happening when i use Nero i am guessing that that is the problem but i am sure alot of people have downloaded Nero and have no problem. i read a post on this forum about using 6.6.0.18. and followed the links:

and then i downloaded a Nero DVD/VIDEO plugin from - click now free downloads, as i use this to burn AVI files that i have downloaded onto my computer. hope this has giving you some info to help me with this problem. thanks again for the help
Thats unusual as Nero automatically generates a log file up to the point of failure. If you have ever burned before then there should be logs at location given.
i go to Program Files>Ahead>Nero and then look for Nerohistory but there is nothing in there that says that,there is one that says just Nero and it is a text document- is this it?
just opened it and no it isn't it,so i am lost to why i am having problems.will uninstall tomorrow and go through links again and see if it works, am starting to think it might be the dvd/video plugin i downloaded but as i said i need this to burn to discs, or can i use something different? as you can tell i am very new at this.
