I have been trying to get avisynth to work with DivX player but no luck. Can avisynth work with DivX player? Would appreciate any help in getting it to work.

Should work with any dshow based player. If it doesn't then that would be upto DivX player to make it work, not AVISynth. I'd suggest that you just stick with WMP, MPC, mplayer, VirtualDub, etc.

The problem is I have a video that is DX50 codec and I want to edit it with avisynth, but it does not work in MPC. I have been fighting with codecs for a while and have given up getting this video to work in MPC and thought if I could get avisynth to work in DivX player I could try that instead.
