I have just upgraded to a dual core amd and am going for dual channell ram too,however as i have 1 pc2700 1GB stick and i understand ill need another exactly the same to ebnable dual channel hopwever is this the case or will faster memory just slow down?i ask because on my last build i had a 1gB stick and a 512mb stick and dual channel WAS somehoe enabled!

any input would be appreciated
