Hello, sorry if this has been asked before but I can't seem to find what I am looking for using search.

Recently I purchased a new HDD because my boot sector or Windows got corrupt on my old one, how I do not know but that's what support told me. After calling my warranty support I was advised to install Windows on a new HDD while leaving my old one in so I got retrieve my data because a diagnostic on the HDD had it passed. I can access everything on my old HDD except the folder for my username, I am wondering if there is anyway I could gain access to this folder because I cannot boot to that HDD nor can I repair or do a parallel install of Windows, when I try I get the blue screen with a registry_error which is what made the tech tell me to get a new HDD.
