GTA Devhook help

Ok so i got an iso of GTA liberty city stories that im trying to run on devhook and when it load up it stays in a black screen .I need to emulate FW 2.00-2.6 becuz im trying to run the GTA cheat device.I'm not sure if my devhook is messed up or i dont have the right iso .Can anyone help me?

What settings are you using and what version of devhook?

UMD version-2.xx>2.00
FW-2.6
CPU-222MHz/111MHz
Boot select-reboot XMB

Change the firmware version to 2.71 and voila.

yea but cant i emulate it with FW 2.6 i need it so i can use the cheat device

Go and download the ultimate installer in my sig. It contains 2.71 when you install it. But you can go back and install 2.6. That should fix the problem.

Are you sure the cpu clock speed is set to 222 mhz. And are you sure u got the ultimate installer that includes all the firmware files (about 20 megabytes). Becuz when you have the bare version with no firmware files it gets stuck at a black screen. Also make sure you press O to cancel the autorun so you are able to change the settings to the correct one.

yea it set at all that but when it loads after the PSP logo screen it stays black but it still lets me quit the game.I also have all the FW files in the DH folder

Hiya, with devhook - do u need to have an umd disk in it, to emulate anything with devhook - mine also goes black screen when trying ;)
Thanks to all of you...
(I had 0.44) getting the 0.45... also, u can find a 50mb 0.44 on pi*at*ba/y.org if u want, it should work, havent found the time to test...
btw, just tried, mine just restarts... i have no umd in it.. should i have dat? (Its gta ls itself, hence i cant differ which is starting ;))

I installed the devhook right from the sig. But when I play my GTA, it stops at the loading screen. Argh... so irritating.
UMD select-MY ISO
UMD Mount-ISO any UMD
UMD version-2.xx>2.00
FW-2.71
CPU-222MHz/111MHz
Boot select-reboot XMB
Remote CRTL-remote controller
Still cannot.
Maybe I should just go use MPHGameloader.

im also having the same problem. i used the ultimate installer v1.1.1 and installed FW 2.71, which works fine. but then i installed FW 2.6 but when i try to use it on my PSP, i get a blank screen then the psp switches off. when i switch it back on, its still FW 1.5
im trying to use the cheatdevice, i can play fine with 2.71 but with no cheat device. any help would really be appreciated
im also using a UMD version of GTA:LCS

Hey, I still use the "old" Gold way for GTA LS - Works everytime, but hoped that someone could manufactor a nice tool that worked for every game...
I dont have the psp here, but I think UMD emulator, choose the iso, and after run MPHGamelauncher manually.
Always works...

I've tried 0.44, 45, and 46... no lucky!
Anyhow, if it can run Tekken, I'm thrilled - but havent felt like deleting my entire mem card yet ;)
I think it can do tekken, lots of places they say yes, but gta is still tough... but then there is other tools! It would just be nice to only use one "dashboard/Emulator" thingie...

It runs better than with daxiso... daxiso tends to freeze up on it! I use an entire iso, i dislike removing stuff from my game, unless its something ill never see...
