I haven't tried this yet, but couldn't you put your Action Replay or Action Replay MAX in your PS2, select your game (you don't have to check any codes), then put in you backup game (the same one you selected on your Action Replay disk), and load and play the game.


Like I said above, I haven't tried this method yet, but it should work. As soon as I get some blank DVDs I'll try it. If anyone could try this could they please post the results?

it's been done before successfuly. It was one of the first methods of playing backups but, from what I remember this only works with old versions of gameshark or action replay. Swap magic essentially uses this same method as what you have proposed. Search for "knife trick" on the net and you'll find more info.

So it wouldn't work with Action Replay Max? Hopefully it does, I don't know if my old Gameshark disk still works.
