Hi

I installed RunUMD 0.01.01a1 on my PSP and i have UMD Emulator 0.8c as well as Devhook.

My problem comes when trying to use RunUMD - as soon as i try and boot a game in it the screen stays as it is for a few seconds and then my PSP just switches itself off. I have tried RunUMD through my current settings (UMD Emulator 0.8c and RunUMD 0.01.01a1) as well as DaxZISO loader with RunUMD and also i have tried PSP RunUMD UMD Emulator v0.8c and cannot boot anything with any of them. I have an "x" folder in my root which i believe is needed. Can anybody help me boot games such as Football Manager Handheld (ISO Backup) or Worms Warfare (Folder Structure Backup)

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

Thanks in Advance

I haven't had much experience with runumd using the folder format, as all my iso's are in a compressed *.iso format. To boot up the *.iso you need to place it in "ms0:/ISO". After this, use the latest devhook (currently .46) and use these settings:

UMD SELECT: *.iso or "umd disc" if you wish to boot a umd > 2.XX
UMD MOUNT: ISO ANYUMD or "umd disc" if you wish to boot umd
UMD VERSION: 2.XX -> 2.00
FIRMWARE: 2.71
CLOCK: 222/111
BOOT SELECT: reboot xmb

Hope this helps big fella ;)

I already tried this in DevHook and had no luck - then i read that it worked in RunUMD so thats what prompted me to try it. I really have no idea why i cannot get RunUMD to not freeze up. All i get in Devhook with Football Manager is "The game could not be started" or words to that affect.

you have a umd in there right?? i found that with my psp, to run like 2.5+ games, i needed to put a umd that was also 2.5+ in there, otherwise it kept coming up with "Region code incorrect" or some shit like that. I did use runumd for street fighter alpha, all i had to do was copy the x folder and street fighter folder straight to the root of the psp, then run runumd straight from 1.5 without devhook.

hmmm...i can't think of what is wrong then. If your using devhook .44 or later (and have a 2.71 firmware dump on there) with the settings i supplied, then there should be no reason the *.iso won't boot. I suggest you just fiddle with the settings for devhook and see what happens. Sorry i couldn't help man...but i am just a noob myself lol ;)

I have just noticed when in RunUMD - if i go to the "x" folder on my root and just leave in the firmwares (flash0 and flash1 folders) and then use RunUMD it begins "Starting" but quickly changes to "Start Error" - when i put the other files from worms into the "x" folder it just freezes and does nothing so i am getting more progress without the worms "x" fix than with.
