Ok here's my question i have a modded xbox and i wanted to know if seting up evox via linux/splinter cell and cdrw are the same what i mean is can you do the same tasks(FTP play roms load games from harddrive etc)thx i just wanna be sure.

No i mean softmod with a modchip installed will it have the same effect as if i used an Evox boot disk

if you turn your chip off and install the softmod it will not interfere with your chip it will be the same as a chip...

Why would you want to softmod a chipped Xbox? That makes no sense...

i dunno but i had my chipped xbox softmodded before i installed my chip aslong as the default dashes arent in the same directory you get no problem...like put the dash for the chip in drive f because the softmod will put your dashboard on drive e....

In that case, then yes, I would like a user bar please :)

As for the Slayer's disc, the one I have is 2.6, and I got it back in 2004. I have no idea if it's the latest version, but it's worked fine on all the Xboxs I've used it with.

yes 2.6 is the latest release....i believe 3.0 is in the works now though for the slayer fans....
