DVD PS2 game over 4 GB

How would you copy a dvd game that is over 4 GB? I have one that is over 7 GB. I tried DVD Decrypter and i'm left with a 7 GB file, too big for a normal dvd.

The game you're trying to backup is a DVD9 game. You'll need to rip it so it'll fit on a standard DVD5.
Have a look in the sticky topic about 'God Of War' for more info, since it too is on a DVD9 originally.

is it possible to just burn it onto a DL DVD-R if you have a DL burner?? coz that would be a lot easier

if you got a newer modchip just burn it to a DL its like only $5:00au you would be saving alot from the original price and its much easier then doing the rebuilding crap

if your mod doesn't support the dl media then you'll need the toxic dual layer image patcher and since you don't know what your mod is you might need that. you can find it on www.sksapps.com

but nearly all good modchip can run dl unless you have a cheaper chip most common one is matrix infinity ths one can run dl

well my modchip seems good coz all i do is put in the backup and turn the ps2 on no holding for five seconds or whatever (only if i wanna play an original or DVD). is it possible to just open my ps2 and check?

most modchips play ps2 games without holding any buttons. It's ps1 games or turning the mod off that usually requires holding the reset button but, with the better mods it just autodetects ps2,ps1,etc or you press a button on the controller during bootup to disable.... You could open up the ps2 but, if there's nothing written on the mod the only other way you might be able to identify it is by comparing it to pictures of mods you see on the net.
