ic6001 2.5 upgraded to 2.6 basically i put an eloader on my psp eLoaderBeta_260.zip to be exact used the gta load exploite and it worked so i started looking for rom emulators came across snes9xTYL-0[1].3.zip and put that on to my psp reading all read me files and when i booted eloader it showed up. then when i put some snes roms next thing you know my screen went black and now it wont even turn on... turns on for a split secong then turns off.
have i bricked it or is there a way to rescue it? if you could help i would really appreciate it. thanks in advance

It does sound like its screwed then, but unsure how. I suppose the eboot file in the emulator could have caused it if you downloaded a dodgy one, but its doubtful. If you can then Id just take it back to where you bought it. If they see it doesnt turn on then they may swap it out for you.

i really appreciate all the help any one could give so thanks a lot for all your replies and taking the time out to help. i know its my fault for tinkering about mainly out of the interest i have.
ive just switched it on with wifi and the red light flashes repeatedly for a split second then goes off for about 2 seconds then the red light flashes for a split second repeatedly again and keeps doing this
i can hear the umd drive clicking every 5 of seconds as if its trying to kick in but cant.

The U.P. (Undiluted Platinum) PSP ModChip is a flash replacement system for the Sony PSP? which allows the use of previous flash updates or custom firmware builds, This ability creates the opportunity to run unsigned homebrew code on even the latest Sony PSP Handheld Portable. There is no more need for Unreliable Hacked Firmware. The U.P. contains 32MB NAND flash which is programmable from a PC via USB Cable with user friendly software. The Dual-Boot Feature of the U.P. PSP Mod Chip allows you to boot from the PSP's Onboard Flash, or the one mounted on the Undiluted Platinum PSP ModChip; You can tell your PSP which Flash to use by a single button being pressed during power-up. Hold L1 during power up to boot from PSP flash, or dont hold anything to boot from U.P Flash Default. Since U.P. provides a secondary flash which the PSP can boot from, it can even be used to restore a PSP which has been "bricked". Every effort has been made to make our flash updater software, which will be freely available for download, both as easy to use and reliable as possible. The software also contains diagnostics which can be used by installers to determine if an installation has been successful or not. i copy this

Maybe you accidentally pushed circle for the downdater. I don't ever recall snes tyl working with eloader because of it's kernel restrictions, even with kernel mode patch for the eLoader.

yeah that makes sense, cos emulators only put info on teh memory stick, right?
take out the memory stick, format it iwth a card reader or whatever, jam it back in andformat it for your psp and youre back at where you begun?
i hope you didnt brick it, i installed the snes emulater a few days back, and would not very much like it if my psp goes crazy..
damn wanna downgrade so bad so i can play ISOs, but need some balls.
