hey pplz i wanna buy an x360 and play backups as well as originals.Ive been doing some research and i think i want to go with the modchip instead of the long complicated hack process and the chip is so easy but ive also seen that i wont be able to backup my games unless i can dload an ss and inject it into the ripped ISO from the original.is injecting an ss complicated and will my burner be able to burn x360 backups??it is a DL burner named AOpen DUW1608/ARR and i've had it for about a year now...i keep hearing about the liteons and was wondering if mine will suffice..

As far as I know the chip is a fraud. All it does is modifies the firmware (when it works) so there is still the same risk of a bricked drive. You have a lot of research to do on the issue of security sectors and regions. If you live anywhere outside the US the download iso's are worthless to you unless you get the correct security sector for the particular game. This whole subject is dodgy as it's talking about circumventing copy protection with hacked firmware, it doesn't add any functionality or interoperability. Maybe allowed by ad rules, maybe not.. It's a bit of a grey area. I'd like a staff member to give me a shout to discuss the issue from a legal standpoint for various reasons. The site I'm admin at has a blanket ban on this subject due to the reverse engineering issue, I'd like some input from the management on this. Anybody?
