You know I usually have your back xyqo but I dunno.
Those games kinda suck although they may be worth a look using wiimote. Also ubisoft is the worst publisher in my opinion. They always have something to say but they need to make better games before opening their mouths lol.

I know what you mean. They seem a bit generic Far Cry is a rehash.
The reason why i'm exited is because it's been ages sonce nintendo has had stuch support at launch from third party. They've been pretty much launching everything on their own strength since n64.
I think Ubi make some good games like POP. But boy they pump out games as fast as EA so they dont always have time to clean the pipe so it gets backed up with crap sometimes

I was really pleased when I heard the 7 Wii titles announced. Red Steel will probably be the only game I actually buy. A renting of Far Cry and POP will also be in order, and if Far Cry is really good than i might get it too.

Its good news i suppose as Far Cry might be good but the others i am not so sure about. Ubisoft is not a very good developer if you ask me (coming just in front of EA who just completely suck) but they have produced SOME good games the first POP for example.
I agree Ubisoft just pump out games as fast as possible sometimes you get real diamonds but most of the time the games are anything exterordinary and sometimes, of course you get terrible games...
We'll have to hope other developers want to compete for the Wii's best developer so we get some real good games

I think Ubi might be bashed some what because thay make games so fast and have alot of crappy ones like EA. But both companies make some of the best games every year. When Ubi releases a new Splinter Cell it's like magical. Thinikng about what would that be like on the wiimote

Hmm yeah i wonder how it would work with a wii-mote...what would you do creep/run? I think that could be a problem with converting from a standard controller to Wiimote; how do you control it. might become more clear for developers as the first games come out

True, as soon as one developer thinks of a good way to use the Wii-mote for certain genres all the other developers will copy/use the same basic movement controls or alter it a little.
It might be interesting with the different developers showing there initial ideas on how to use the wii-mote, we could have a whole load of different controls for the same genres as the developers mess around with it...could be a nice break from other consoles where you can just pick up any game and know the controls without even reading the manual or anything as they follow a standard controller setup (R1 shoot, X accellerate, Triangle enter/exit, etc)

I didn't see ray man in there.Rayman is ok he's that austrailian guy with the boomerang and sh*t right?
I had part 2 I think.some of them are ok I'm not crazy about half of em but over all it's good news to see a major publisher developing for wii.I think the publishers are more excepting of wii this time around then the gamecube which is great.

I dont think Rayman had any boomerangs? I only played the PlaySation 1 games of Rayman though, so i can't be sure, but i think they were still pretty good fun platformer type game.
I'm hoping the Wii gets the GTA titles as thats a series i'm quite into on PS2 at the moment, although i think its losing its uniqueness (i didn't think San Andreas was anything special, which most people find shocking :-0 )

I agree with that I hope for gta for wiias well.I'm not sure though because rockstar has said ps3 and 360 but hasn't mentioned wii at all.Plus the wiimote may be awkward on gta.

Maybe, there is a system to control viechles already but that requires and extention, not sure which one though, if it was the same one as for fps games then you could use for the driving then have a constant crosshair like on the PC version of GTA. They were realeased for GameCube in a pack weren't they? And wasn't it all down sampled and stuff? I hope that doesn't come to a Wii version...i'd get it on PC instead if it did, but it always feels crap on PC in my opinion on PC, like playing an emulator or something

Yeah i know i was just saying, i don't accutally have it on PC but i have tried it and it doesn't quite feel right. Was trying to make the point that it could end up feeling the same way on Wii, not feeling quite right.
Good luck with that roach by the way :)

Yeah my dad said the same thing he hates the aiming on gta.On wii I can't imagine many games,I'll have to feel this wiimote nunchuck combo before I can say.In my mind I imagine fps and sports games but I know what your saying.
P.S. I got that bastard LOL.

Have you seen the Wii trailer thing? That sort of shows you how it works have a look at it when you get chance...I watched it here the first time: http://www.play.com/Games/Wii/NAVSUB/5-/RegionHome.html
But there is bigger and better quality versions out, take a look there is other genres such as mario and racing games which are sort of shown how they will work...

Thanks that's a great trailer.I liked the fishing one at the end.I just wonder after seeing that what they will do for accuracy.
For instance in the video it shows them golfing and batting but will it just be a any swing or a certain type of swing.I don't want strike out because my swing was slightly off you know?

Hahaha, well maybe it will improve your swing :P
No but seriously i've spoken to a few people how used the Wii at e3 and they said, when playing the tennis game, that it was pretty amazing. It could tell if you were doing a serve a underarm or a overarm. But you dont accutally move the character your self on screen you just go for the ball in the sort of direction of the ball and it will move for it and swing on screen, its sort of hard to explain :S

One of the games not mentioned was the Monster truck game, it may be fun as they are quite rare. The first 3d game I played was on my pentium 2 with a voodoo2 accelerator card 8 megs it piggybacked onto my S3 2meg video card. It allowed opengl true 3d graphics and made the monster truck game amazing. Imagine mariokart, but with the size and power of a monster truck. I used to like taking short cuts, mowing down a cow or two on my way up a hill, and landing on or infront of my friends. Also the mini games were fun, king of the hill or destruction derby style. That game could prove to be my favorite. I really don't see the problem with the controller. The motion sensor gives you 3 axis of control x,y,z equivalent of a mouses x and y axis and two keys from a keyboard used for strafing, except its all in one hand, and thats not even considering the buttons on the controller. Talk about simpler. Oh and in most PC first person shooters a button is pressed or held to enable sneeking or crouching. Seeing as the controller eliminates the need for a directional pad and 2 buttons for strafing, that leaves your focus and all your fingers to press buttons for everything else. I can't wait. Also, if my Wii can't browse the net, then I want similiar controller for my PC so I can lay in bed and have a 3 axis mouse for surfing.

http://www.nintendorevolution.ca/08142006/00/nintendo_wii_confirm...
good news for launch fans. Looks like the Wii has enough launch games to last well into late 2007. smashbrosbrawl, mario galaxy, disaster day of crisis, and project hammer are later titles from nintendo that will continue the momentum in 2007, not to mention anticipated capcom, ubisoft, lucasarts, and other third party titles confirmed under development.
Looks like a pretty solid first year for the Wii.
