i need to change a BUP file to a window media player compatable file?

Why? Just use program like WinDVD, PowerDvD, Media Player Classic, VLC... and you do not need to conver it. (last two of those are free)

But if you need to convert it, use WinAVI to convert it to AVI format.

Best to use AutoGK: http://www.autogk.me.uk/

WinAVI can convert it to AVI format and if you need mpg, you can use VideoReDo.

If it's a VOB file,of course it can be played by WMP.
