i have a PS1 console and its not chipped.

get a bit of paper, around 10cm x 10cm, roll it up and then fold it in half and stick it in the bit where the clip thing on the lid goes in. then get an original game, then when it makes a "prrb" noise put in a backed-up game and vice versa for 3 or 4 times, ending with the backed-up game and it should play.
