friend of mine has just bought a new TV (don't know what) but needs to connect tv, video, sky box & DVD recorder to allow recording from any direction and still watch tv at the same time - each device has 2 scart sockets except the video recorder (one only)
the supplier of the TV was trying to sell him scart leads at £30 (way over the top - price wise) a go and a 2 way splitter (not switched)

Can anyone cast some light on this for us please and let us know which cable should connect to which device and in what order. In addition do we need to get a splitter.

hoping someone will pick up on this one for me as he's a bit stuck at the moment
