Ok i have windows xp pro 64-bit and when it gets to the part where its a blue screen and says WINDOWS it stays like that and it wont show my desktop files or wallpaper or anything. If i use safe mode the problem doesint happen. can anyone please help me out and tell me what u think , thanks

Have you installed software lately. If it doesn't happen with safe mode, maybe something is interfering with something.
