i just got a PSP last week, and i got a psp v2.01

im lookin to downgrade it to v1.5

can someone pls help me...is there a downgrader software out there???...

or do i have to upgrade to v2.5 then downgrade it????

some post say dont upgrade to any version higher then what it orginial is.....

so by upgrading to 2.5/2.6 is it safe???

and do the 2.5/2.6 downgrader work??...i have heard reports of people putting fake instruction for 2.5 to purposely wreck PSP..

It works as long as u follow the on screen instructions. There are some bogus ones but this one works. Personally used it on one of my psp's.

Download that file. Thats the easy downgrader which includes all files needed for the downgrade to work. In conjuction with the easy downgrader you will also need an unpatched version of GTA:LCS.

GTA:LCS has a savegame exploit which allows you to boot the eloader (used to run homebrew on higher firmware version). Eloader is what runs the downgrader.

When I say unpatched I mean there is a version which allows you to boot eloader via the savegame exploit. Recently Rockstar recompiled it so that you can not do this anymore.

Yes, it needs to be a real version. Just try and rent it if you can as it you only need it for 15 mins.

wen u pop n the umd its either gonna say update to 2.0 or 2.6 if u hav the 1 with the 2.0 update ur good is unpatched. and make sure u dont hav a ta-082 mobo

it is another type of motherboard for newer psp's it has different voltage and is currently non-downgradeable

my friend say...downgrade from 2.5 to 1.5 then use offical upgrade to 2.0 then downgrader to 1.5...he say doesnt need the UMD gta...is that true/???does that work???

pls help..this downgrade busy is GIVING ME A HEAD ACHE!!

Easiest way to put it:

1)Rent or buy GTA:LCS (unpatched)

2)Upgrade your PSP to 2.50/.60 (found with google)

3)Download the Easy Downgrader hex supplied you

4)Follow the on screen instructions when you are ready to downgrade

5)You now have 1.5 psp, do what you wanna do now.

almost everybody in afterdawn has downgraded either frm 2.00 or 2.50/2.60 no one has bricked it and u will also not brick it its all so easy

I've downloaded my 2.01 PSP sucessfully. To do this i did the following:
-Upgrade to 2.50.
-Download Easy Downgrader
-Connect PSP via USB Cable, then run Easy Downgrader (Requires a copy of GTA:LCS Unpatched)
-Follow step-by-step instructions on the Downgrader
-Enjoy your 1.50 PSP.

Oh and as far as i know DownDater is just another word for DownGrader.
