Ive been using Nero forever and it has always worked fine. Now when i burn Cd's after so many songs (on one cd after #9 on another after #14) they become very fuzzzy and get worse and worse after every song so eventually it just stops playing. I have tried using other burning programs with the same problem, and even have a second computer in my home that i tried burning songs with and have the same problem there. It doesnt happen every time, but more often than not. Ive triedburning at slower speeds and that also makes no difference. Please help

Probably your media, especially since this (presumably) happens to the music recorded at the outer edge of the disc. Reburn your discs on good media. You may have to search around to determine who makes decent CD media these days but name brands aren't necessarily good.

-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

Hi jaimey
For good cd's look for made in japan only Fuji or Maxell.

I agree w/ Dunker - it does sounds like a media problem.

@jaimey
Maxell Pro are usually good - last one's I bought were made by Taiyo Yuden - good stuff.

Pop a blank in the drive and see who manufactured them.
You might also need a firmware update on your burner.
You can check both in Nero ToolKit>Info Tool. The drive tab will have a field that's lists the firmware version.
The disc tab will give you the manufacturer info on the cd's.
Post make the manufacturer info.

Your can check your drive's website site & see if there is a later firmware version or here:
http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php

You can also post back this info (make, model & firmware version) and we try and find one too.
