how will it work, will the "refresh rate" be sufficient for games like Halflife 2 and Warcraft? Assume I will be using DVI for video output from PC...

oh, duhhhhh.... sry guys Sony KDS-R50XBR1 is what I'm looking at, but I remember hearing that there was a newer model coming out soon, should I wait or is this that newer model?

that'll definitely be alright!! how much are you getting it for though? the tv has hdmi and vga so you dont need to worry about connections. at tigerdirect.com they have a true 1080p samsung 56" DLP tv for about 1900. however, if space is an issue, i would go for that. overall, i would go for the dlp because of the greater contrast ratio (10 000:1) and the price. but thats just my opinion.

and how would you compare that samsung to the new SXRD's? Also, I noted there are no DVI inputs on the Sony, just D-Sub 15 input for connect to PC, can I achieve max resolution via this connection, or through a DVI-HDMI converter if necessary? I REALLY need to know! Tell me! and thx for your response!
