Just posted today from Team Xecuter. Quote: The much anticipated X360 USB is now ready for release. This really is the most advanced modding product to be released to date and will benefit many thousands of users. We have spent a great deal of time perfecting this product and our beta testers have been using it now for a couple of weeks - having flashed every single model of Hitachi drive many many many times thru USB using all the current released software (GaryOPA, Birdy etc), and connecting various SATA Hard drives (both 360 and stock) while performaing countless data transfer tests with 100% success we feel this product is rock solid. Samples will be shipped to Xbox-Scene and others in the next week.
We are also pleased to reveal the official logo and branding for the X360 USB along with a picture to give you an idea of its scale as some thought it was huge judging from our original pictures. We will also announce its own dedicated website address shortly, giving complete details for the end user and marketing materials for retail stores.

Ohhh.... if only.... Nope, don't work that way. You plug your 360 dvd drive into the usb connector which in turn runs into your pc usb and is detected by Windows. Basically it's so you don't have to mess around with your sata ports on your pc.

Last I read they only had the drivers working for the Hitachi drive. That was back when it was first posted on X-S. I don't know if anythings been updated yet.

No, you plug the USB adapter into your Drive, then you plug the USB cable into you PC, this way you dont have to mess around with sata cards.

You still need to be able to get to the back of the 360 dvd drive to plug in. The connector then runs into the usb on your pc.
A lot of people have problems getting their 360 drives detected using the sata ports on their pc's. Using the connector eliminates that problem.
