It does sound like emulation as I said it, but if you have heard of E3, then your familiar with Windows Vista and Xbox 360(Windows Media Center skinned). In E3 they tell us of the compatibility, and tell us of how Vista will support new realistic graphics that no console or other OS will support, although the 360 will support the same games without these realistic graphics ofcourse. So technically Microsoft will be porting or emulating from Vista to Xbox360. Microsoft has already been emulating its current OSes onto Xbox360(and so can you).
Oh and yes I did make a significant typo, I won't fix it or your posts won't make sense:
Seeing as the Wii will have a removable storage device (SD=Secure Digital), which is compatible with a PC. It will be easier to emulate ON/hack/modify a Wii compared to a ps2/xbox was.
You see I omitted to say emulate "on" the Wii. As the original poster inquired about using a mod chip to play a backup disk of GC game on a Wii and my post was responding on how to go about this. Whereas your posts are just vague guesstimates on how long until a mod chip is made. Or a guesstimate about emulating on PC. Typically I try to stay on topic, typos happen, but I mean your picking out one word, out of context of the rest of the sentence. Well I thought I made it clear last post that I didn't imply emulation "on" a PC. I hope this post clarifies things.
P.S. you can use your USB Xbox360 controller on your Vista PC, so it will be just like the Xbox version, but prettier. If the drivers existed you could probably use the Wii controller on PC for old system emulators...hmmm
P.S.S. The reason I mentioned the SD card was not to port the Wii's OS or anything to the PC, but the reverse (Theorectically). To load a program from PC onto the memory card toload programs/games/backup discs, as is similiarly done on ps2.
