Hi,
I am a sony fan and own The PS One, PS2, and PSP. I recently bought
a HD LCD TV, and have been thinking about buying the xbox 360.
First I have never played the original xbox, so I'm not familiar with the system. I do plan on buying the PS3, but I'm going to wait probably
about a year for the price to go down.
So I need your advice, is it worth getting. Can I put music on the
hard drive using a ipod. I have windows xp but It isn't a media center
edition, will that pose a problem. Will I need to get the nokia
external fan because of overheating.
And MOST Important are you happy with your 360.
Thanks alot guys........

well , i would say this, ps3 is for games like tekken and racing games,(the controller is ver good for that, how ever when it comes to xbox 360 , its the best for fps games such as halo 2 and so on like gears of war, the media center is optional for the 360, however it is good to have it , 2nd of all the overheating is a problem olny if u put the xbox in a HOT place if you keep it ventilated the it wont have a problem. i believe it is worth getting it cause of the massive online features, how ever ps3 has amazing graphics power , but xbox rates best for its userfriendly featurs, and yes im happy that i got an xbox360 ;)
oh and ps3 will cost a LOT!! so ya your choice!, and its good to see that your researching about these products before buying them. good luk! :)

Im not sure about the controls since I dont own an xbox 360 but Im here because I have a question of my own.
if you have a wireless controler that run out of power, can you recharge it? how do you recharge it do you plug it up with a usb cable to the xbox 360? dont tell me it comes with AA bateries you have to constantly replace.
Do you have to have xbox live gold in order to play classic arcade games?
so far PS3 has beaten xbox 360 in every area with it having a 60 gig harddrive, web browsing, downloadabe games and online gaming for free, HDMI, motion sensing, bluetooth controls, a built in battery pack with a usb cable you can plug in to the system to recharge( what you would call a play and charge kit), its also the cheapest blue ray player, not to mention that you can continue your PS2 saved games on PS3. Im not trying to start a flame war, all I want is one good reason why I should get an xbox 360. Im a fan of both sony and microsoft but Im sort of leaning more for sony right now.
Peace Out!

-3 Wired Controlers is the Max since there are 3 USB ports.
-You can regarge the 360. The battery after 1 charge lastes 25 hours of -GamePlay. You will need to purches the Charger and Battery sepertly, for $15
-The controler charges Via USB.
-You can still play Clasic Arcade Games on the 360 even without Gold.
AND YES, the 360 is a great investment. I love mine. I am a Sony Fan to and plan on geting a PS3.
Any more ?s?

ahhh man, the rechargeable battery pack and play and charge kit are seperate. Is AA battery life just as long as the battery pack? Are the games so far graphycally different than the current generation because I dont really see a big difference? Im I frustrating you with all these questions?
Peace Out!
P.S.-why the hell wouldnt microsoft include the rechargeable equipment with the pakage? is there any plans to include this in a future package?

Because M$ are blood sucing money grabing punks thats why.
Yes the AA battery life is the same. And the controler even turns it self off when you tur the console off or after 15 minutes of inactivity.
And no I dont mind the ?s.
The Graphics are much better on the new system if you have a HD TV. WAY BETTER

No, the 360 only came with the remote at launch.
Yes, the guid botton on the Controler (the silver and green x) turns the console on/off, and can turn the conroler on /off.
EDIT The games arn't on HD DVD

If you do get a 360, get the Premiun pacage, it is a better deal, and this way you can play XBOX 1 games on your 360.

Quote: AS of right now the Games arn't on HD DVD Disks, but they will be soon, like games realesed after Dec
Unless you mean high def on standard dvd's then thats incorrect, microsft have anounced they have no plan to release games on HD-DVD.
It would be a real kick in the balls for people who have current release 360's to go out and spend $200 on an external drive to keep playing the newest games. One of the main reason people say they got the 360 was coz the ps3 is way to expensive in comparison, but with this addon it will take the console to about the same price as ps3.

isnt there two types of media remotes? so if I buy the premeum package if the remote wont be in it or chargeable equepment then could you tell me all the things that are in it. how often is the list of backwards compatible games updated? Is there any other slight feature you personaly like? Whats the meaning of life?(ok I was joking with this last question)
Peace Out!
P.S.- please tell me you dont have to buy a playback kit to watch movies.

XBOX 360, Wireless controller, Power Cord, Hard Drive, HD AV cable, Headset, 1 month of XBOX Live gold, 25 foot Eathernet cable
All xbox 1 games are playable on the 360 at this point, all you need is a Hard Drive (I am almost possitive all are)
I like the xbox personal voice chat, and soon video chat, I also like downloading Game demos for free from the Live marketplace.

Hey Guys,
Ok, everything I've learned about the xbox 360 sounds good, and
I would love to play the games on my HDTV. I have component cables
for my PS2 but doesn't really make much difference. God Of War looks
good in 16x9 and Progressive scan though.
So one last question. I don't have high speed (I know everyone else
does) but where I live back in the woods all that is available is
Satellite and that's just a big rip off.. High Speed for me is suppose
to be available sometime in 2007. So are the games worth playing
without high speed.
I know I can't fully enjoy the 360 without it, but can I still
enjoy it till I get it???
Thanks for your advice everyone......

Ya, I feelthe Gameplay is good if you dont have Live. But it much better if you have it.
I would get it if I were you.
