If the DNAS code in the PAL thread here is for PAL Australia and I'm in the UK (also a PAL region), would it work? Has anyone actually tried it?

It should work, all PAL regions are the same. Only time it might not is if the SLES number changes dramatically from PAL region to region, which doesn't happen very often.
