im new on these boards so i would like to say hi. i've looked in numerous threads and i cannot find the answer im looking for. I have a couple of games i would like to burn onto a cd-r so i can play it with swap magic. the game is 3.5 GB and i do not have a dvd burner. is there any way possible which i can burn the whole game onto 1 cd. I have tried burning it with ImgBurn and has the whole 3.5 GB on the cd but i havent got around to testing it yet. Sorry if its hard to understand since i dont know how to explain it.
P.S Is there a way which i can backup PS2 games that don't work on my PS2 because of disc read errors?
its possible, but not as easy as your trying. You have to rip out movies, extras, etc so it will fit on cd. What mod do you have? Also, dvd burners are only $20-$50 now.
i have swap magic 3.6 with slide tool. i think i have a version 9 PS2 (the fat one. how would i get rid of the xtras and would it really be nough to get it from 3.5 GB to 700MB? I have read about programs such as "EZ DVD Copy" that burns PS2 games to DVD using a CD burner or something like that. Does it really work?
even by getting rid of the extra, you're talking about removing 80% of the game. i don't see that happening.
and a cd burner is not physically capable of writing to dvd. those programs don't work the way they make it seem. you do horrible compression (that is never worth it) to put crap on cds.
you need to just buy a dvd burner and save yourself more trouble than anything else could possibly be worth.
