hey thanks for the info it worked out i was able to view pictures and listen to some music. I thought you would be able to watch videos that are on the PC, is that a option? Also in order to get the media center you must connect to a router right? cause the 360 must connect to your pc and the internet at the same time right? Hey thanks for your time and help.

Smash, you need Windows XP Media center to stream movies. If you only have XP, you can only stream music

My 360 won't let go into the Media Center?? It says that the ip address can not be established or is already in use. I have my 360 hooked up directly to my PC but nothing is connected to the modem, so is that the problem do you have to be hooked up to the net in order to access the media center? Because the way it is now the 360 goes to my computer and access my share folders. Thanks again.

Lexz you have to download "media center extender" from the xbox homepage. Run the setup and it will prompt for the xbox code.

sometimes my xbox does that as well, have you ever got xbox with media center, every week or so i have to reset up a profile, and its a pain in my a$$. Go to media center, it will try then fail, then press Y it will give you a new 9 digit code, run the extender setup and again and set it up.
