Yes, you can create images and then burn them to cd/dvd depending on what the original format was, but you will need a modification to play the game, like a mod chip, or swap magic.

I meant with. Well ARMAX comes on a cd, and i burned it on a dvd and it works fine, so your cd backups should do the same.

Putting a cd based game on a dvd will only work if there are no media checks in the IOP, SYSTEM & SLES/SLUS files. If there are, then it won't work.
AR MAX has no media checks which is why it worked.
So you'd need to scan those files & change the checks to dvd for the game to work.
This has been covered in previous topics before.

Ok, cool, thanks for letting me know, dont see whats the point of putting a cd game on a dvd anyway, just a waste.

If your PS2 has stopped reading CDs then it would be a good idea if you still want to play the CD based game.

That'll only work for so long before the CD reader burns out completely. Besides, not everyone knows how to recalibrate or adjust the pots.
