Hiya All. I have a problem that is more annoying than messing up my computer, but I've tried all I know to put it right with no success. The problem on Live Messenger version 8 (build 8.0.0812.00) non of my contacts display pictures can be seen nor can my contacts see mine. I have checked Options and have both "show my display picture and allow others to see it" and "show display pictures from others" ticked. I have tried to 'repair' and uninstalled and reinstalled the program. IT'S really winding me up. Has anyone any suggestions.

I would suggest to go back to version 7.5. As live messenger is crap.

I may of missed something cause when i clicked to run all my old settings and contacts came back.

Well Borhan nite time is here and I have used easy clean to delete messenger then I ran it on the registery. I also ran ccleaner just to make sure. Then I downlaoded and installed messenger 7.5 and clicked on run, it was as if it had never gone it knew my signin info and all my contacts and yes as befor no pictures of my contacts. I went through the same procedure again and this time i also looked at windows add change programs in the controll panel and I looked at file manager anything that mentioned messenger was deleated..... or so I thought reinstall same situation. Any more suggestions would be welcomed as it is now doing my head in.

The only other thing i can think of is use another program all together like.

Trillian or Miranda IM these programs are messenger programs that allow u to run all ur im accounts under the one program. This is the only thing i can think of at the moment.

I have to go to work soon soo i will be back tonight.
