Streaming Radio Software Suggestion

I constantly have Real Player streaming radio from various stations; Classical, Talk Radio, etc.

But occasionally these streams are cut-off or the player fails an attempt to reconnect when bumped off.
This is annoying when I am not physically at the machine to retry or click to another station.

My idea is for either a Real Player plug-in or stand-alone application that makes it own attempts to reconnect and, if not successful,
connect to the next inserted stream link, looping through a link list; thus always finding an available working stream.

Is there anyone here who knows if this is possible and make it a reality?
