i have downloaded a game and have mounted the image using Daemon Tools and it still insists on me putting the disc in...plz, id appreciate if somone could help

Sre you trying to burn the image? What exactly are you try to do?

well i dont exactly know how to get the game running...its need for speed most wanted, i followed the instuctions given on the website i had got it from (piratebay.com)... i had unpacked it, mouted the iso image...and then i installed it through the new drive and it does bring the splash window giving the options and when i click on play it brings up a box with the title "cannot locate the dvd-rom" and it says please insert the correct dvd-rom, select OK and restart application.

If your trying to burn on to disc, you need good media first of all. Then I would use dvd decryptor, image burner, Alcohol 120%, or Nero to burn the iso and that asuming that you have a moded ps2 with either swap magic or a mod chip if you don't then won't be able to play the game.

This has nothing to do with PS2. He's on about the PC version of Need For Speed Most Wanted.
You can't just mount the image and expect it to run, as it'll most likely have some form of protection like StarForce. You need to configure Daemon Tools for the protection type.
