Ive got some video files that I wanna play in my archos av400. These files are XviD-orenji. I checked the file using VirtualDub and the audio is unknown tag0055. I cant convert the files using archos mpeg4 translator. What do I do?

0055 is mp3. XviD is MPEG-4 compliant, mp3 is allowed to. Not sure what exactly is required for your Archos though.

Two possible reasons for problems with mp3 in VDub.
1) You screwed up your codecs (windows comes with an mp3 decoder).
2) VirtualDub has problems with certain headers in avi's which results in mp3 not being recognisd correctly or something to that effect.

There are basically two solutions to. Fix the previous or use something other than VDub.
