while making VCD through Nero, Nero transcodes dat files. Why? and in the end of transcoding (it takes 1 1/2 hrs) and then gives an error. Pls help me as i donot want to transcode the files and would like to write Nero the file as it is.

I hv a copy of a movie phir hera pheri in DAT file extension.

When i tried to copy it using Nero in VCD format, it starts encoding / transcoding. where as a few days ago i copied the some other movie in dat format only for playing in VCD and it just took 15 min. to write and it played very well on VCD.

But, now when i did the same thing again after a few days, it didnot worked.

pls help. Can't i make a VCD movie without transcoding / encodes?

I am already using the below:
