and also do you have to rebuild a game or can you just burn it in a dual layer DVD+R.

Yeah, those are high quality discs. As for dual layer discs, depends on what mod your ps2 has.

Ok, I've searched the forums but couldn't find an answer.

For burning (and playing) dual layer gaming discs, does it depend on what PS2 version you have, what mod you have, or both?

Sorry, a bit of a noob about this subject since I got one of the first DVD burners that didn't have DL support and am thinking of getting one.

I've got a PS2 V7 and Magic 3.1
