ust went down and bought a SATA cable. And connected my 360 to my motherboard. On my motherboard it has 4 spots for a SATA cable.

Sata 1 - Which i plugged my 360 into
Sata 2 - Which is where my HD is.
SATA 3 - EMPTY
SATA 4 - EMPTY

Now when i boot up, my BIOS recognizes my 360 drive as ;
HL-DT-STDVD-Rom GDRS

I have to eject the xbox tray to get it to boot into windows.

I did get windows to recognize it once, but couldn't find it in device manager.

Looks like my motherboard is: FC Mircostar ms-7123 N1996

Any opinions?

any opinions????????? What are you trying to do, flash a hitachi, it sounds like.. .which i'll assume, but if i explain all this and you're not with a hitachi, ima hit you. AHAH jkin buddy, but i hope im not wastin my time here...

In order for windows to reconzie your hitachi, it has to be in modeB, in which case you wouldn't have to eject the tray...

Put it in modeB via cross wire method and get into windows and flash.

I don't know how deep i want to go, as i have no idea what your question is....
